When I was a boy of 16, I had my first car insurance. It was in 1970. At that time I drove a 1960 Chevy that I bought from my uncle.

It was very exciting to have my first car, and of course I was absolutely overjoyed when I the freedom to come and go without discovered “adult supervision” for the first time in my life! But soon I began to realize that this incredible freedom of other very new “financial” responsibility.

I’m not just a new (used) car to hum in the city in the player and I went to school, I had found a new commitment and a source of significant costs (at least for a child of the 16-year-old high school with only a part time job).

Fortunately for me, I have no car payment because my father had bought the car for me, having worked for him throughout the summer as a drywall company. But I have my own gas to buy and I had to pay my own insurance.

Back in 1970, there were not nearly as many opportunities for car insurance as it is today. Get an insurance supply of cheap argument (and get a quote online insurance low price was not a option, of course), it was easy, with the company, were my parents, who remain probably took most of the company and know this time. I ended up staying with them for over 25 years!

But today is another story. The Internet has contributed to multiple offers in just a few minutes in many cases! There is a lot of competition dominated world in which we live, as it was when I was a child.
